Celebrate the Army's 250th Birthday in Watertown
The AUSA (Association of the United States Army) is hosting a special dinner to commemorate the U.S. Army's historic 250th birthday on Friday, June 13, 2025, at The Strand in downtown Watertown. This milestone celebration honors nearly two and a half centuries of Army service and sacrifice.
The evening begins with cocktails at 5:30 PM, followed by dinner at 6:00 PM and a program at 6:30 PM. The featured speaker will be COL Jesse Blanton, Commander of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), bringing firsthand military leadership perspective to this commemorative event.
Located at 136 Franklin Street, The Strand provides an elegant venue for this patriotic gathering. Tickets are $30 per person, with business casual attire requested. The event is catered by Embellished Catering and sponsored by Watertown Savings Bank, demonstrating strong community support for our military heritage.
This dinner offers an opportunity for veterans, active-duty personnel, and community members to come together and reflect on the Army's remarkable history and ongoing contributions. The 10th Mountain Division's local presence makes this celebration particularly meaningful for the North Country region.
