Founded in 1950 as a nonpartisan, educational nonprofit, our growing association strengthens the bond between Soldiers and the American people, promotes the military profession, and enhances ties with industry.

Riverfest is back on Thursday, June 11, 2026 (8 AM–5 PM) in Alexandria Bay, NY, bringing together service members, families, veterans, civilians, and the wider community for one of the most anticipated summer events in the Fort Drum region.
This annual event—hosted by Fort Drum Family & MWR in partnership with the Association of the United States Army (AUSA)—is more than just a day on the water. It’s a chance to step away from routine and experience the Thousand Islands through a boat tour, a stop at Boldt Castle, carnival-style games, and a community BBQ lunch.
Riverfest simply doesn’t happen without volunteers.
As the event grows, so do the responsibilities—especially with expanded parking operations and guest coordination. Volunteers help ensure attendees have a smooth, welcoming, and safe experience from the moment they arrive until the last boat returns.
Whether you’re helping direct parking, greeting guests, supporting logistics, or assisting event staff throughout the day, your time makes a direct impact.
This is also a great opportunity for:
Businesses looking to engage in community service
Individuals wanting to support military families and veterans
Groups or organizations willing to volunteer together
Anyone who enjoys being part of a high-energy community event
Even a few hours of your time helps keep the event running smoothly.
If you’re able to volunteer—or if your organization can commit a team—please sign up here:

If you don’t yet know exact names, you can still sign up by listing your organization and the number of volunteers you can commit (for example: “Community Bank 2 volunteers”).
Please also include your availability for the day so coordinators can place you where support is needed most.
Riverfest isn’t just an event you attend—it’s an event you help make possible.
If you’ve ever enjoyed the boat rides, the views, the food, or the community atmosphere, this is your chance to give back and be part of what makes it all happen.
Sign up. Share the opportunity. Bring a friend.
And help make Riverfest 2026 the best one yet.
